Title: Emco PC120
Post by: quintintaylor on November 20, 2011, 09:38:14 PM
I  have a Emco turn PC120. Useed machine quite frequently but the other day when I powered on the computer would not boot up. It went through all it promts and passed. Except when it gets to the hard drive it will not boot. It states on the screen hard drive error (0).

I spent 3,000 last year on a new servo drive board. Now I have this problem. Emco does not support this machine and seems to know nothing about it! Great Cutomer service. Anyway, it still has the orginal Siemens computer and uses 3.2 DOS. Emco told me they would check on a upgrade to see if they had one. It has been two weeks with no calls returned. They estimated 6,500 for an upgrade.
I need help with gettting the hard drive to boot up. Does anyone out there have a hard dirve boot DISK??
please call or email

I also have three Compact 5 lathes I need to get read of. Anyone wanting to purchase please let me know.
Also, wondering if they can be up graded as well.
