Title: Eagle & pcb-gcode help
Post by: michel-cnc on November 12, 2011, 06:54:17 AM
Hello !
I have tried Eagle & pcb-gcode following example at
http://www.instructables.com/id/Turn-your-EAGLE-schematic-into-a-PCB/

I have generated the G-code and have a look to the result given by pcb-gcode and i can see problems with the toolpath generation:
there are some shortcuts !!
You can have a look to the joined files: i put a screen copy of the settings in pcg-gcode (it runs under eagle) and the result.
If somebody have some hints, they are welcomed !

Thanks

Looks like you have lots of errors on that PCB.
Mach cannot help resolve those issues, the GCode needs to be right before Mach becomes involved.
The only thing I can suggest is that you practice using Eagle and PCB-GCode a bit more or perhaps ask some questions at the Eagle forum http://www.cadsoftusa.com/forums/guidelines/?language=en

Not much help really, sorry.

Tweakie.

Its also quite possible that the gap is too small for the cutter that you specified. ie, the gaps 1mm and the cutter is 1.5mm.
