I have a Delta VFD022B21A that I want to control from Mach3.
What do I need?
Any one know what I can get the remote control for this unit?
Thanks,
Don Williams

Hi Don,
Welcome to the forum.
The VFD requires a 0 - 10 Volt dc source to control the speed and Mach has a PWM output intended for operating a VFD.
You need a controller board to convert the PWM signal to the 0 - 10V such as this http://www.cnc4pc.com/Store/osc/product_info.php?cPath=25&products_id=303 which also has the on/off - forward/reverse relays.

Hi Don
Have you see my VSC?
If you wont I give you the schematic to build yourself.
If you wont to see it this is my web www.robotfactory.it

The C41 has two relays with the connectors labeled NO V_IN NC. Will the V_IN connect to 24V from the VFD? Then the NO connectors connect to FWD/REV?

Hi Andrea, I would be interested in the schematic, if possible.

Hi Don,
You need to check with your VFD instructions but selecting US Mode on the C41, I would connect both V-IN together and connect these to VFD terminal SD then relay #1 terminal NO to VFD terminal STF and relay #2 terminal NO to VFD terminal STR.

Thanks Tweakie.
I finally got the folks I bought the machine from to help me. I selected US Mode on the C41. V-IN connected together and connect these to VFD terminal DCM (digital common) then relay #1 terminal NO to VFD terminal FWD and relay #2 terminal NO to VFD terminal REV. I then changed a couple of VFD parameters.
It seems to work! I can't get too excited yet. But, this is progress...
