Title: Driver gets lost?
Post by: upthecreek on September 11, 2011, 09:58:20 AM
Hi.
I've got Mach3 working on an XP PC, and when I leave it for a bit and it goes into sleep mode, the Mach3 driver must get screwed up, because when the PC wakes up there is no response from the CNC afterwords. It works fine after rebooting, but I'd like to keep sleep mode functioning, and Mach3 working without rebooting.
Is there a cure for this?
Thanks.

If there really isn't a fix for this, is there a way to put a shortcut on the desktop to restart the driver without rebooting, or am I right off the mark here, as I'm not really sure about this stuff????
Thanks.

You should be able to close down Mach then restart Mach.  BUT WHY have have the sleep mode active in the first place??? IF you are not going to be using MACH3 then shut it down when you are not using it.

Simple fix, (;-) TP

I thought this thread had to do with somebody refusing to "stop and ask for directions", most likely posted by one of our wives! :-)
