Title: help needed with emco pc mill rebuild

im triing to re build a emco pc mill30 have up graded the drive board with one of those cheap 4 axis tb6560 boards the instructions are up the wopwop are not correct the only part of the instructions that where correct was for the limmit swithes.
i will be runnining it on mach 3 need help with ports and pins
and not to shaw on the wireing of the stepper motors as dont have any info on them and cant find any info on them they are step super type 103g770-2249 they are 3v 2a 1.8 deg/step can any one help with this

If the steppers are Sanyo 8 wire then this information should help you with identifying the connections http://www.piclist.com/techref/io/stepper/wires.htm

There are many variants of the yuk board instructions but these are probably the best http://www.savebase.com/infobase/downloads/TB6560/TB6560_4Axis_Driver.doc

i have got z and y axis move in one direction only put x axis in y axis to test if it works it does.
only z, y working x not working
if cannot get working will take borad out and shoot it these boards are a pain in the ass

Before shooting try using Sherline 1/2 Pulse mode (Config / Ports and Pins)  ;)

will do a silly question will steeper motors work as in rotate if wired wrong

have tride every posable way to get working still only z and y working in one direction this board sucks

One other thing to check is the output voltage from your PC parallel port. With a multimeter check the voltage levels between any DIRECTION pin and GROUND (pins 18-25). When jogging the axis this voltage should change between approx. 0 volts and 5 volts depending on direction of jog. If it is only making 3.3 volts then this could be your problem.

Read the info on the link on how to find the proper wires for the stepper motor. Get the motor wiring correct for one motor and then use that motor to find the driver pin out for one of the axis.

One of the problems we had with a Chinese driver was with the pin out information given. Found numerous info from different sites but all was conflicting.
What a PITA to find which pin belonged to what but will give credit to the 14 year old as he followed a matirx and got all the pins figured out by trial and error.

have chucked the TB6560 board out going with a gecko g540
the steeper's worked when pluged in to x and z on the TB6560 board i would say y and a where dead and the wiring is the same as it was on the original board on the emco PC mill 30

The pins on the Blue Board are a bit silly, but you will get it working.
The Pins need to be configured properly so the Motor receives the proper signal from the computer.
