Title: help need to create mirrored a component
Post by: usermaatresetepenre on August 27, 2011, 03:34:55 PM
hi to all, newbie here, please please help. my problem is that i wish to create left and right handed versions of a program, i already have the 'left hand' proven through and working well, however, i need to have a program that creates the 'right hand', a 'mirrored image/part/component'. i have looked through the help files only to find 'mirror part 10-4' but this does not shed a light on the subject so i am stuck!!!!!! i am using mach3 mill, can anyone assist. many thanks in anticipation Barry

Try scaling the X or Y axis by -1.

hi hood thanks for the fast comment, do you mean in the prog or in the 'scale' box close to the 'job display' area of the 'program run screen' baz

scale box at the side, change it to -1 for X and regen toolpath and you will see it mirrored.

I've used -1 scale to mirror parts and it just works, you can mirror any job yourself if you need to see what it looks like.
