I'm verry hew to cnc,and bought a magnum technology wood cnc late, and am looking for a owners manual,or pay for a copy of it,
they are out of business and I need help, any ideals besides this site(witch it too advanced for me right now)ordered some books, any help would be great
my goal is duck calls been turning them on a wood lathe then finishing them up on a metal lathe.
One last question for now the cutting bit that it came with is no good so I want to try to put a tool post(like the taig-sold threw Lee Valey)will that be a big problem?
the new tool bost it taller than what is in my machine now.
thanks
Todd

The tool post overall height is not important, the height of the cutting tip is, as long as the cutting tip is on the center of the spindle all will be ok.
If the tool is above centre it will rub the work and not cut.
If the tool is below it will cut but when you go from a small diameter to a larger one the size will be wrong.
I don't have one of these machines but what do you need to know about the machine. We may be able to help anyway.
Graham.
