Title: Emergency LED dosent stop flashing
Post by: anthony.zulli on June 22, 2011, 05:57:07 PM
HI guys, just having an issue - the Emergency LED flashes.  If i go offline then I can reset, but the CNC does not work.  I can disable it from input signal but then the CNC does not work.  Would it be an issue with the controller box?  The unit is a X3 from from CNCkits.

Could either be your active state for E-Stop is incorrect or could also be the limit switches or their active state.

Thanks Hood.  I did change the "Ports and Pins"- Estop to be "active low - green tick" - this got rid of the led, but the cnc would not work.  The cnc is centred so there are no limits being triggered - do you mean they might be dirty and giving a false signal?  There are no other red leds flashing.

Am I on the right track?

Can you attach your xml and also either attach documentation about your control or link to where it can be downloaded.

Thanks Hood - I was able to contact PROMICA who built the machine for me - he thinks its a processor problem and so he will fix it.  I have brought it to him for repairs.  What do you mean by xml, as I will post this for you.

XML is an extention for a file in your Mach3 folder.

If you using the lathe, you will be looking for a file called machTurn.xml.

If you're using a router, look for a file called Machmill.xml.

This file is fill with information about Mach3 setup, (how you have setup your machine)

Hood will use it to find out what could be wrong with your particular setup.

Hope this help.
