Hi. Just crashed my old PC and finished installing and setting up LazyCam and MACH3 on new computer. All works fine so far except when I am in lazycam and hit the post to mach3 button I get a message that it cant find mach3 running. I have it running, but it does not know it. Any ideas, I really liked this feature, makes life a lot easier to make sure I am using the latest G code, etc. Thanks!

LC should be installed when Mach3 is installed and if you do not, and memmory serves me,then LC will not post directly to Mach.

well, since this was a rebuild I just copied the directory, then when nothing worked, I did the install and installed Mach3 and LC at the same time. But I guess since I did the copy 1st maybe that messed things up. Should I do an uninstall and a reinstall? Thanks

Re-install Mach and when prompted install LC. Let us know how it goes.

Other than what i mentioned never had a problem on any PC.
What version of Windows are you using?
I notice that LC did post the file.....look in Mach subdirectory Gcode and see if it is there.

sorry, the g-code is in the mach3 directory and i can load it and it runs fine. just the auto post does not work, which i can work around, but its annoying and i am always worried about messing up and grabbbing the wrong file/version.

I am having to same issue. I have an old xp machine on my cnc router with a licensed copy of Mach 3.
I also have it on a windows seven notebook so I can work inside in the warm. This runs Mach 3 in compatibly mode.
The post to Mach 3 doesn't work for me either even if I call lazy cam from Mach 3.
Thinking back, I did a full install of everything when I loaded up both the tower and the notebook.
Just at the moment I don't have access to the cnc computer so I can not test if it works.
Tnx

I never got it to post, just lived with it. I tried it on two identical machines and same thing eiher way. I am just using a single board with a dual core 1.8G atom processor running XP

It never posts to Mach for me either but I have always put it down to not having Mach installed on drive C.
Perhaps Rich would know if the installed drive has anything to do with it.
Tweakie.

with win7 i have been not able to make it work with either the 32 or 64 .
with xp sometimes after a upgrade of mach i would have to uninstall l-cam.
then i would load l-cam ver 2.02 to get it working.then re install the current ver of l-cam.

The only time I had problem with LC not posting to Mach is when LC was not installed along with Mach OR if I didn't run LC from within Mach.
So don't know what to say folks. Can't speak for W7 since I only use XP.
Sorry for not being much help,

Thanks for looking Rich.
It's no big deal really and as cpayne says - just have to live with it.
Tweakie.

I know this is an OLD topic but I had similar problem and I found the answer.
Go to General Mach Discussion section on this forum and read my post "No Mach3 Found Running"
Now I'm happy again that I can post my gcode to Mach from LC
