Post by: sml on May 19, 2011, 07:12:56 PM
Hi to all

I want use Mach3 for control a cnc machine with below specification :

Spindle : DC motor - permanent magnet - 400 watt  at 3600 rpm - 90 volt - 4 amper.

Axis motor : stepper motor - 5 phase - 10 wire - 16 kgf.cm - 1.4 amper.

What board do you suggest for control this spindle and axis motor? I don't know how can i control the spindle motor?
Can some one help me.
Does any board can control this spindle directly?

Please help me

Thank you

Hi,

THe spindle motor is best controlled by a DC motor controller such as the KBIC-120 by KB electronics

or one like this that is very popular;

With one of these controllers, you can then use a PWM to control voltage converter such as the DC-03V3 DigiSpeed  (That  I sell) to control the spindle speed from Mach3.
