Title: Homing New Machine
Post by: kolias on February 06, 2011, 05:55:16 PM
Soon I will home my new machine to see how it works. For now all axes working fine except I noticed the Y axis once went askew but then some how it fixed itself – probably the Y axis motor is missing steps? If that is the case should I change the Step / Dir Pulse in the Motor Tuning Table? now both values are set at 5.

On the screen picture attached why the X / Y little arrows at the bottom left corner of the screen are not set at the bottom left corner of my table? I’m I doing something wrong.

I have also attached a picture of my Home / Softlimits Table to find out if I have done anything wrong. All axes on this table are 1 sorter to avoid any crashes just in case I made a mistake.

So when I’m ready which button home the machine? the REF ALL HOME ? Does this change only the DRO’s or it also homes the machine?

Thank you

You will need Auto Zero for Z as well.
The XY shows the direction and willalways be at the lower corner of the screen no matter whether you are in part view or table view.
Yes Ref All will home the machine when you have home switches enabled.
