Title: Formula Axis Correction
Post by: sams_n on January 23, 2006, 08:14:09 AM
Hi,

yesterday I saw the new function in Mach3.
This is a very helpful function for axis correction with 5 Axis milling.
The math. Functions are working very well, but I can't use the Parameter D for Tooldiameter and T for Toollength
of the current tool.
for example:  y=y+sin(a)*T
The result is always a zero.
Has somebody an idea what I make wrong ?

Best regards , Gerhard

Hi,

thanks for the quickly reply.
At the configuration window of the "Formula AXIS Correction" is to be read

"Available variables are axis letters X,Y Z, A,B,C and the current Tool diameter D and length T...."

So I thought that also these parameters can be used.
Is it planned that these parameters will work  in one of the next versions ?
also the use of some user DRO values would be very helpful. (5 axis Table-Table Machine)

Best regards, Gerhard

I talked to Art and he is thinking about adding it in for the next version... This could be  a month or so.

It is on the list :)
