Title: Step Morphing Question
Post by: michaelthomas on January 01, 2011, 10:42:39 AM
I just bought some 203V drives fro my new router.  After reading about it's micro to full step morphing, I wondered if a higher top speed could be achieved without the need to raise the kernel speed.

I will be using 4032 steps per inch, and at a kernel speed of 45000.....I would top out at 669 IPM.  Would that increase using the 203v's ?

No, the step morphing is completely transparent to the CNC controller.
