Does the Tangential control work in G2/G3 in the latest versions ? just curious.

What would you use it for? just curious.

It was related to the question Gridley51 asked a while back for a plasma.

Should work... I can make a post for Lcam that will output the moves for the A axis as well :)

Thanks Brian, that would be good. Will let Mark (Gridley51) know.

So, if I read that correctly, tangential control will cut arcs, and not lift and cut them as small straight lines?

Robin,
thanks for thinking/asking about this. The manual clearly states "curves must be programmed as a series of G01 moves".This is inconvenient but will probably work for what I want to do.I`m a long way away from that stage anyway.

No problem Mark, but the manual also states that" Note: in the current version this feature does not work with arcs (G2/G3 MOVES)"
As this manual was written way back in April 2005 and since that time Mach has advanced at a remarkable pace, I was thinking it may now be implemented for arcs.
Maybe Art or Brian can clear this up?

Art fixed it some time ago (I think) It is a tool that I never seem to use :( I think that I need to get somthing that needs it ;)
