I find the green and gray don't have enough contrast and I have to look hard to see which topic has new posts and which doesn't.
The green and red was much easier to see.
I do however like the Artsoft logo as part of the indicators.
Thanks,
Mike

I agree .

The logos are much nicer, but yes, the colors could do with a change :)

So what colors would be preferable? I personally like the green and gray, they are intuitive to me in their meaning (whereas red conveys "halt! you are not allowed!" more than "nothing new"), but we can change them if a consensus is reached...
It should be noted that there are 2 different "green" icons - 1 is "bright" green to denote that there is a new post in the board; the other is "dull" green to denote that there is not a new post in the board itself, but there is a new post in a child board. If the real problem is with the "dull" icon, we can drop that functionality and go back to a 2-icon system...

The issue I was having was my laptop was running on power saver mode so it was hard for me to see them properly. :/ Now that its plugged in I can see them fine :p
Also, you could just wait and see how many people actually complain about them and/or start a poll to see if people like the colors. I don't think 3 or so people wanting the change should require it to be done. Most people probably just need to tweak the brightness or contrast, considering the last buttons were very bright LED style buttons :p

Maybe it's just as simple as green and black?

The old colors worked fine(;-)
