Title: Driver Triggered?
Post by: kolias on October 27, 2010, 05:43:17 PM
I have been away from my home build CNCrouter for more than a year but now I’m back. Unfortunately the HD on my laptop which runs the CNC crashed and had to re install XP but I lost my config file for the CNC and now I have to re configure the machine.

I run Mach3 and all seem to be ok but I get the message “Driver Watchdog Triggered” and I don’t know what means.
Any ideas?

In addition the Y & Z axis run ok but the X axis runs in the opposite way than it should. Cant find out why. Any help here?

Thanks

Disable the watchdog on General Config page.
Reverse axis from Config menu then Homing and Limits..

Thanks Hood I fixed the watchdog problem but I don’t understand how to reverse the axis from the config menu and my Homing Limits are off. My main problem remains that my X axis keeps going in the opposite direction and don’t know how to fix it. My questions:

1. On the attached Table Display photo although my drawing is at 0 of X&Y, the green / red X&Y is at the left of my drawing. Does it matter?

2. On the program run screen and under the DRO’s there are the buttons “Machine Coords” and “Soft Limits”. Does it matter which button is highlighted?

3. I get the message “No shuttle detected of type Selected” How can I correct this?

4. The button “Spindle CW F5” on the Spindle Speed screen is blinking. The values bellow this button are
RPM=0
S – ov = 8000
Spindle Speed 8000
What is wrong here?

Look at the pic, I have the reversed options circled, whichever axis is going the wrong way you change the setting n hat box.

No thats as it should be

2. On the program run screen and under the DRO’s there are the buttons “Machine Coords” and “Soft Limits”. Does it matter which button is highlighted?
Normally you would not have Machine coords enabled as most of the time you dont need to see them. Softlimits will depend whether you have any set up, if you do then its best to always have them enabled.

3. I get the message “No shuttle detected of type Selected” How can I correct this?

Go to the plugins folder and delete the shuttle plugin.

4. The button “Spindle CW F5” on the Spindle Speed screen is blinking. The values bellow this button are

Not sure about that, could it be you have pressed the screen button for the spindle or have a brain or macro or even code calling the spindle start?
