Very Newbie! Up and running but having trouble setting soft limits! I have set them X=48 inches Y = 24 inches and Z is set from the top at 5 inches! When I try to use the soft limits I get an error saying I'm not withit in limits! That is the working size of my table! Can anyone help this old man/

Do you have limit switches and which end of the travel are they?
X and Y Min and Z Max should be Zero
X and Y Max and Z Min should be the travel of your axis with the Z being a negative number.
If your home switches are at the positive ends of the travel you will need to set up a Home Off value equal to the distance of the axis.

Hood, I have them as you stated! 48-0 24-0 Z = 0 -5

In my post above I meant to say home switches, so with that in mind do you have home switches and which ends of each axis are they?

and Z?

Limit switches are my home switches!

No switches on Z!

OK move Z fully up and then Ref All, you should then be able to switch on Soft Limits after you have done that.

Can you attach your xml and I will check your config. Also a pic of your machine may help.

I think I found why I couldn't set soft limit to green! There is a dotted rectangular box on my table! If I'm within that area my
soft limit light will stay on! I can't figure out how to change that dotted line to reflect the actual size of my table
X = 48 Y = 24 Appreciate any help! SPANKY

You either have something not configured right or you are not doing the homing sequence correctly. Please attach your xml and I will have a look at your config, also a pic of your machine may help.
