Post by: DennisF on August 14, 2010, 03:24:00 PM
Anyone using Visual mill
 I have a few question's
First how is the depth per pass set the cut parameters are different in roughing and finishing, second there are no feed and speed's set up for the M M tooling is there a tool libray available that has a basic feed and speed setting.
Thanks for any help

I use rhinocam (same as visualmill).
What type of toolpath are you trying to generate?

Ken
Thanks for the reply i am using a 3 axis routine it programs but i can't seam to change the depth of cut i changed the number of passes and then the depth of cut and the program seams to default to a setting from where i don't know what happens is looking through the code lets say i set the depth of cut to 3.5 MM as this is what i use to design my partsthe tool path generated shows a tool path of different depth's from 1.7 and then stacks them on meaning each path is 1.7 greater i would think the tool path should be like this first depth of cut 3.5 mm and then the next to 7 mm and so on until it cuts to the bottom am i incorrect in my thinking?
