Title: Mach 3 Charge pump circuit layout, problem
Post by: P.C.S. on August 12, 2010, 10:02:42 AM
Hi guys,

my name is Phil and I'm working on a PCB for the mach3 charge pump circuit following the circuit by Mariss Freimanis in the support download area.

I attached a picture of my layout for the circuit no. 2. It only switches my relays properly, when the voltage connected to +5V DC is lowered to about 4V DC.
The only modification I made is a IRF1404 mosfet. IC pin connections like in the datasheet of the HEF4538.

I could install a +4V voltage regulator, but this does not solve the basic problem with the circuit. I would appreciate any help or advice very much.

Thanks in advance.
Phil

Phil,

Dont know if this would make any difference but the capacitor in the circuit diagram is 0.01uf your pcb shows 0.1uf.

Hi Tweaky,

thanks for your reply. It would make a difference, but the capacitor in the circuit is 0.01µF. Just a typo in the PCB layout.
