Title: RS485/232 for axis
Post by: Kövi on October 18, 2006, 01:33:38 AM
Hi All,

I am new in the Mach series CNC controlling.
I would like to use my AMC servo controllers for the axes.
It could be controlled via RS485 or RS 232 interface.
Can I use this type of communication? Or can I use the newer CAN BUS?

Regards István

would need to write a plug In to run the servo's like that. there is a problem with doing that because you can't move the data that you need to for 3d toolpaths... you are better of to use step and direction

BTW if you would like to do a plug in you will need VC++ 2003
