I'm new in this forum and new with Mach3.
My question concerns the 'Program run display' and there the 'Scale display on x-axis DRO display'. This scale display changes the value from +1.000 to -1.000 while machining and the cutter moves in the opposite direction. As Gcode I used the Roadrunner example and others.
What I'm doing wrong? Is anything missconfigured?

Can you attach your xml please, if using the standard Mach3Mill profile it will be called Mach3Mill.xml and will be found in the main Mach3 folder. You will need to copy it to the desktop and rename to something like Peterstg.xml as the forum only accepts a file name once and Mach3Mill.xml will already have been posted.

Hi Peter,
You are not doing anything wrong. Putting a negative value in a scale DRO will reverse that axis. It will reverse the axis starting position as well as the image produced (words, for example, would be engraved backwards or upside down etc.). This can be quite a handy feature for engraving on the reverse of glass or acrylic.
Tweakie.

Ah maybe I was reading this wrong, I was thinking you were meaning the scale changes by itself, can you clarify whether you are changing it or if its doing it on its own?

Hi all,
thanks for quick response. I meant the scale value for the x-axis changed by itself while mach3 is milling. This hapens with every Gcode-file I tested. After short time the value changes to -1.000.

Please attach your xml then and someone may find the problem.

Hi Hood,
attached you will find my XML "Mach3Mill_peterstg.xml". I hope it helps to find the problem.

Runs fine here so unlikely a problem with your xml.
Do you have any Brains or Plugins enabled?

There are to Plugins enabled:
- Flash-Flash Sceen-SWF PlugIn
- Video PlugIn
Brain Control shows ModIOMPG.Brn is loaded but not enabled.

Afraid I cant think of any reason why it would happen then :(
You could try unplugging your keyboard just in case that is the issue but really that is unlikely, maybe a reinstall of Mach might help..

Hi, I have the same problem, did you find the solution?

Marko can you attach your xml so I can test here, also if its any specific code it happens with can you attach a sample of that as well.

Hood,
Here are the "Mach3Mill_marko.xml" and "marko.nc" files.
I generate the NC file from the MastercamX4, but I didn't use the special postprocesor.(maybe that could be the problem, I don't know how to use it)
The strangest thing is that program some times works fine, and some times not. For an instance, when I start the mach3 first I find zeros and start program. Than it executes well, after that I find new zeros and start program again and it works fine for some time and then, in the middle of the milling, it just change the scale of X axis to -1.000?

Hi there
this problem is caused by having a fake license if you bought it from Artsoft then go back to them if not go back to whomever you got it from , if in doubt contact Brian Barker and he will verify for you as to whether or not your license is genuine or not
