Title: Changing image file
Post by: Ron Ginger on March 16, 2010, 09:40:21 PM
I cannot change the image file for either buttons or LEDs. If I double click in the field nothing happens. What am I missing?

I am also unable to change LED properties, like color or blink

Hi Ron,

how do select the element, what are your settings? When you select the item, does the frame appearance change?

I simply click on the element I want to edit. It then shows the black handles, and the property dialog fills up. I can change the OEM code, but none of the other properties. Ive tried clicking on both the name and the property, also double clicking each, and right clicking.

I just tried removing machscreen completely and reinstalling but it still works the same.

Thanks, but that is exactly what I am doing. It does not open the box to make an edit. The only field I can change is the OEM code. On LEDs I cannot change the image file or the color or the blink property. On buttons I cannot change the file.

Hi Ron,

could you please send me your set file and tell me which element on what page you want to change the property.

EDIT: The easiest way is do a "project export".

Hi Ron,

I'm using version V1.40.a and it all works like it should.
Try to delete the registry entries. To do that finish MachScreen and start regedit. Move to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\KD_soft and delete  the complete entry "MachScreen". The next time you start MachScreen it will take the default settings.

Hi!

I would like that the Mach screens show me a picture, but the url of  is picture C:\Mach3\Bitmaps!
It is worst to me, i want change the folders, so i can open any picture from your computer.
for example: C:\Desktop\asd.jpg, or D:\Images\asd.jpg!

Can I change this url in the Mach Screen Editor?
Thank you very much!

Hello Csaba,

how are you trying to load the image? You can select an existing image, or add a new image.
When you select an existing image, the property dialog shows in the "Path" - line the relative path\filename. Doubleclick that path.
When you add a image, place the mouse pointer at the upper left required position and click left mouse button.
In both cases the dialog "Specify filename" opens. Within that dialog you can select the image. If you use default settings, the image must be lying in or underneath Mach3\Bitmaps. You can set the "root bitmap" in Options -> Settings Generic prog settings "User defined image path". In that case all images must be lying in or underneath that path.
I would suggest use default setting and copy the needed images into the Mach3\Bitmaps - path.

Hi Csaba,

I'm not sure I understand your question right. You can place an image with the same name as many times as you want.

Hi Klaus!

I changed the image name, the folder is still standing but it is just a picture in the folder.
Be that, regardless of the name, load the picture in the folder.

Hi Scaba,

what are you trying to do?

I've put a small movie on my site, In there i show

placing DRO's, button's and a bitmap
align DRO'S and buttons'
set text in buttons
set functions to the elements
change colors of DRO's
set skins to DRO's
place an image
change an image

perhaps this movie helps to solve your problem
