Title: Record encoder position
Post by: zzzox on February 17, 2010, 01:57:28 PM
I attached encoder on the parallel port and read position on the encoder input DRO.
Can the Mach to record position and generate code?
Thanks in advance

Brians JCode plugin might do just what you want.      Jog-> GCode
I would guess that it would work the same with an MPG as it does with the jog hotkeys.
There is a video on it under the SUPPORT tab.
Hope this is what you want,
Russ

If you want to copy something via axis moves and generate the Gcode to machine it you may want to look at using CopyCat. The manual for it can be found in Members Docs.
