Title: Softlimits question
Post by: dacostad on February 16, 2010, 11:00:27 AM: I use softlimits on my Novakon Mill and whenever I load Mach 3 I get a "Softlimits System Movement Aborted" message in the status bar before I do anything including referencing the mill.

Can anyone tell me what this means and why is it occurring?

The string is under CONFIG, GENERAL CONFIG...

Dave, if you're not sure about the Pump, go to Gen. Config. and uncheck Run Macro Pump if it's checked, then restart and see if it clears up.

What do you have the Soft Limits set as?

I get the message when I start up Mach 3, if I clear it, I only see it again if I move to one of the softlimit limits which is what I would expect.

However when I changed to the standard screenset it opened fine and there was no soft limit warning. I suggest you email Jason (Zealous ) and see if he can give you some help.

One other possibility, are there any Brains enabled and running ?

Highlight each one and see if the ENABLED box is checked.

........must be the Flash.set like Hood mentioned, does weird things with the standard screen.

Yes, I had the same thought, so I tried it with the standard default Mach3 screen and got the same result.

You are right though it is a plugin for my MPG pendant from VistaCNC.com.

If I disable it, and restart Mach3 I do not get the message. If I then enable it I get the message straight away.

I guess I will need to check with VistaCNC
