That is great! Are you the pilot? What parts were made with your machine?

Howdee..Noim not the pilot, its Warrick our local Instructor and I needed to make the vid for everybody...
The helidesign is my own...Its taken a Nitro helicopters running bits....and ive completely redisigned the way the heli is integrated with its power plant....The electric motor develops 5.6 hp over the nitros 3.8...It runs on 44.4 volt 5000,s 25/35c discharge rate and that 4.3min flight used up 55% of the packs fuel adnd was at full throttle with a headspeed of 2250 rpm ..the motor ran at 59 celcius the speed controller at 45 the batterys at 34...
took me 4 weeks to design and build at 14 hours a day...

So to answer your question....The FRAME SET is what Ive built....servo holders, engine mount, baseplate,

Soon will be making the interestingbits..Swashplate grips

cheers

Well, it is great. I have a friend that makes some parts for the quick of Japans. You can deffinatley spend a lot of time on them even if there small. My son has an easystar we got to about 90 MPH. The first flight with the hot motor blew the whole tail end off of it. Second flight broke a wing at the end of the spar (couldn't handle the G's) so we had to machine a set of wings and fillers for longer tubes. Never messed with the Helis much. You got yourself one good pilot there! Keep us posted.

That's pretty cool. I wish I could fly that good. You have any pics of the parts before you installed them? What material did you make them from?

That pilot has some serious skill. Very nice. So was this filmed in Aus or NZ, I detect and Aussie accent there.

Nice flying.....looks like a nicely balanced layout....good performance and heat numbers for a 12s setup.
What material did you choose for the side frames?
