Title: wiring cnc control to ltp port??? how???

hey guy's

i am Alex from Holland and i have a little problem

I'm making a cnc at school.
and i want to control him whit mach3 whit the ltp port.

but how shut I connect the wire's from the port to the cnc control?

Hi Alex,

If you use a breakout board this enables a parallel LPT cable to be used from your PC. Then connect the breakout board pins to your CNC controller in accordance with the step and direction assignments you have set within Mach.

i have made the step drivers by my self and i have to connect the data lines to the tpl port.

and i don't know wit's pin is for whits as  , x , y , z,

thats the problem

Hi Alex,

You can use any of the output pins you choose. The setup I have chosen is:-

Pin2 - Xstep
Pin3 - Xdirection
Pin4 - Ystep
Pin5 - Ydirection
Pin6 - Zstep
Pin7 - Zdirection
