Title: Brain timer not behaving as expected.
Post by: RallyRat on January 22, 2010, 03:56:01 PM
I want a timer to act as an off delay, that is to have the output stay on until the input has been off for at least 2 seconds.

I have the timer set up with 0 delay trigger, 2 seconds pulse time, 0 delay until repeat, no single shot, no second input.

The behavior I observe while the input is continuously on is that the output turns off briefly every 2 seconds or so.  It is acting more like a flasher than an off delay.

Any ideas on how to remedy this?

Thanks,
-Will

Try adding another identical input, second timer 1 second initial delay to put them 180 degrees out of phase, then "or" the timers.
Even add the direct input and "or" all 3 for redundancy if the two timers ever overlap.
