Title: Problems getting motor motion on initial Mach3 setup
Post by: ehcnc627 on December 23, 2009, 03:32:07 PM
Guys

I am setting up a system with a CNC4PC C10 board with Keling KL4030 drivers and KL23286-20-8B motors. I have it wired per the C10 wiring diagram on Keling's site, and are using the Bipolar parallel connection for the motor wires.  I have Mach3 setup per Kelings instructions - C10 wiring diagram, however I am getting no motor motion.  The motors have power as when I turn on my 36V power supply they lock up as expected.   Mach3 seems to be working as when I jog the axes I confirmed that I am getting voltage through pins 2 - 7, but the voltage is max 3.3 volts.  Is this too low?  Keling says it is and should be ~ 5 volts and I need a new computer....

Any thoughts on what might be the issue?  Everything appears wired per the C10 wiring diagram at Keling.com, and Mach3 is setup according to their instruction sheet as well.  Keling did not offer alot other than to say try a different computer.

Thanks,

Have you got the C10 board enabled?

Thanks Graham.  That was the issue.  I have put a jumper in and it works fine now.
