Title: Keyboard only use of Mach3 - possible?
Post by: alanr on December 06, 2009, 06:28:06 PM
I'm just getting started with Mach3 after years of using the DOS based CNCPro.

One thing I like about CNCPro is the ability to do everything with the keyboard.  Given the extreme lack of space in the shop, not having to find room for a mouse is a BIG win.

Is it possible to run Mach3 pretty much entirely with the keyboard?

Thanks.

Not really, you could set up loads of hotkeys to do most buttons but things like selecting DROs I dont think you could do without some form of pointing device. I dislike mice on a machine, I do have a trackball on all of them but mainly use a touch screen and external buttons.

How about a small keyboard with a built-in touchpad?
