Post by: PLUNGER on November 11, 2009, 03:31:16 PM
i'VE DOWNLOADED THE  PROGRAM AND IMMEDIATELY HAVE COME ACROSS A HICCUP. tHE DRIVER TEST RETURNS A PULSE OF 16459-NOT 25000 AS DESCRIBED IN THE USER'S GUIDE. THE EXERCISE  (3.4.1) ON MDI DID NOT MOVE THE THE AXIS DRO'S TO NEW COORDINATES. i'M REALLY NEW AT THIS SO SORRY IF THERE IS AN OBVIOUS ANSWER.

For others with same question. I found that not loading the parallel port driver permitted simulated operation. This is not in the manual.

I still can't fgure out the pulse rate question.

You need to do the optimization steps to try and get a better pulse rate. You really should watch the videos, as the manual is several years old and obsolete in some instances.
