Title: New to routing need help with letters
Post by: TylerQSS on September 11, 2009, 06:02:45 PM
Hi,

I'm very new to routing but have experience running a vinyl cutter.

We've got our router up and running and have cut out a few words using lazycam/mach3

The issue were having is the router is rounding parts of letters that should be a 90 degree corner,  such as the corners on the top of an upper case L.

I'm not sure where to start with this problem if anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,
Tyler

ARE you actuall cutting the letters or just looking at the toolpath generated?

cutting the actual letters,  the tool paths all look right with good corners but when cut the corners get rounded.. this is my first day at work since I made the post so I'm gonna try some of the settings sam suggested
