Title: How to Setup "DIYCNC" 60mmx40mm Router
Post by: IllusionEngineer on September 10, 2009, 07:08:59 PM
??? Can anyone help with directions or suggestions for setting up a "DIYCNC 6040" Router with Mach3 (http://sites.google.com/site/cncdiymachines/cnc4060).  Purchased router via eBay and company is less than helpful (looks used, missing parts, no documentation, very slow to ship, shipping damage, responses don't make sense, etc.).

Uses their CB001 controller that uses their "A3977 3 Axes Driver - A39773XB001".  See image here:  http://sites.google.com/site/cncdiymachines/a3977-3-axis-controller-drive

I have been reading through Mach3 setup manual and there are just too many questions I don't have the answers to for this machine;  starting with parallel port pinout.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There have been questions on this controller before and others have mentioned lack of information from the vendor.

For this controller Mach is configured to use the following parallel port pins:-

Motor outputs:-
x step 2
x direction 3
y step 4
y direction 5
z step 6
z direction 7

Input signals :-
e stop 10

Limit switches:-
x 11
y 12
z 13

Hope this helps.
