Title: program for generating text as a dxf
Post by: Project guns on September 09, 2009, 08:00:43 PM
I am using mach3 on a mini mill to engrave, we have been using the text wizard, but it is not really adequate for our needs. I have gotten a copy of D2NC to use the 4th axis to engrave tubes and ned a program to make text into dxf files. I have autosketch but it doesn't work, is ther some simple inexpensive program for making text dxf files?

Gerry,
Thanks for the link.
Question... When it converts the text, does it create arcs / circles or break the circular parts of the text into
small lines?  ie; the letter "B" will have two arcs in it and not a bunch of lines for the circular parts of the letter

Thanks,
 Rich

Haven't used it in a long time, but it was polylines with no arcs.
