Title: Pendant Setup
Post by: Steve_B on August 01, 2009, 12:23:37 PM
I am converting my 6' X 10' waterjet to Mach3 & have a pendant already with my present system. It seems like you need to install pendant drivers or software that allows Mach to find the pendant. I don't have any software & my present system is running Dos 6.22. Is there a way to have Mach look for signals from my BOB while pressing buttons on my pendant? My BOB is a custom made 1995 version so I don't know if Mach can see it???? Any tips for me would be appreciated.

Also if that doesn't work has anyone tried Logitech Cordless Rumblepad 2 PC Gamepad?

That depends entirely on how the pendant is interfaced to the system.  If it uses the game (joystick) port, then the standard Mach joystick driver should work.  If it's a keyboard emulator device, or connects to parallel port pins, it should be possible to make it work through keymapping and/or a modified screenset.  If it's serial or USB, then probably not, as that typically requires a custom plug-in.
