Title: Jog isn't disabled in MDI even with jogging turned off
Post by: hanglide on July 30, 2009, 09:09:04 AM
I have the arrow keys assigned as jogging keys in the input setup and I've noticed that Mach will incrementally (inernally) jog axes in MDI even if the button to turn off jogging has been selected (albiet very very slowly)

Is there a way to prevent this?  It's a problem because if you use the arrow keys to cursor through commands, the axes move unexpectedly even with jogging turned off.

Also, I can't find any LED or any other method of determining when MDI is "active" ie.  the user has selected the window to enter a command.  This would be very handy to know -especially for the external jog commands that are required for continuous jogging in a plugin.  I can disablie external jogging if jogging is turned off but I don't like the idea of the axes jogging in MDI while the user thinks he's just cursoring around.

Thanks

THe mdi disables the NORMAL jogging keys assigned in MACH. When the MDI is active the arrow keys act like normal arrow keys.

IF you have reassigned the arrow keys to jog in an abnormal way then the keys will not be orverriden correctly and you may get what you have.

Also you are in the BRains Section you may get better results if you move over to the plugins section.

Just a thought, (;-) TP
