You will need to give more info,
what pitch screws?
What stepping are the drives?
Any gearing between motors and screws?
Metric or Imperial setup?

The drivers are made with A3977 and they have 2 jumpers for step configuration , full step, half step, quarter step and eigth step

Hi,

Pitch screw = 2mm
Bipolar 200 step motor
Gear ratio = 2:1 (screw gear : motor gear)
Metric

In full step mode:  200 * 2 / 2 = 200 steps/mm
In 1/2 step:  400 steps/mm
In 1/4 step: 800 steps/mm
In 1/8 step: 1600 steps/mm

It work fine , but I have to move the mouse. When the mouse is still (mouse pointer don't move on the scree, I don't touch the mouse , the motor not working well - lot of vibration, low speed loose steps etc...). All I have to do is movind the mouse and work fine .

Could anyone help me ?

PS: I have AMD 2800+ 1GB RAM, Optical mouse , winxp (updated) - fresh install.

Make sure you do not have a printer driver installed.

If your mouse is compatible enough (most are) you can remove any special mouse drivers that came with the mouse, and it will still fuction, albeit perhaps without whatever 'special features' it might have had.

If you are getting some kind of unthrottled poling of the parallel port or the mouse port which is disrupting Mach, then unistalling the drivers might clear up the problem.

I don't have any printer install or any other drivers except via4in1.
It's xp+sp3 + updates - fresh installed last night. After reboot it work fine for about 8-10 seconds, and then loose step, anoying comportament of the motor (when I move the mouse, the motors take speed).
should I uninstall sp3 ?
I don't find in bios any ACPI (enable/disable), I have disabled Com ports, Paralel port change to ECP, load fail safe bios defaults, without any luck !
What drivers should I uninstall ?

If you still have the problem then I need the xml for the profile you are using. Example if you use Mach3Mill then look in C:\Mach3 and find Mach3Mill.xml, copy it to your desktop and rename to birlan.xml then attach it to your post by using the additional options button.
