Recently I have acquired a CNC, the Artisian Model with Mach 3. Now, the software is displaying the following message:
No devices were identified during USB port scan, please check connections and try again. Sometimes unplugging the USB and plugging back will help. Please Exit Mach and try again.
Nothing seems to work, even if I reset the software and the computer.
And suggestions?

What external device does that machine use?

Mr. Hood:
I really do not know what you mean by a external device, however the CNC machine is a 5 axes, together with a computer and the controller integrated. Probably it will be good if you check the following page:

This is precisely the machine I am talking about.
Unfortunately, this machine was sent to me with no owner’s manuals, and no information al all about the machine itself and the type of controller.
I really appreciate all information on this matter.
Thank you very much.
Eduardo.

Eduardo,
Folks in here will help you out but think you may want to consider doing some of the leg work for all of the components associated with your machine.

Why not call the manufacturer?

Your machine must be using a USB motion controller of some sort rather than the Parallel Port to connect to Mach.
There are probably two devices it could be, one is the SmoothStepper and the other the NCpod.
One thing to try is go to device manager and look at all of the USB Root Hubs and disable the Power saving options.
