Post by: fak on June 20, 2009, 02:21:41 PM
Is there a way to set up a list (library) of tool positions?? .  If yes, where and How would you create this list.  Thanx much, new guy..

Are you talking about tool length and diameter offsets?

Not really sure what you are meaning but if its that you want to have a rack of tools and have them picked up  by the spindle as a form of toolchanger then you would write the positions in the M6 macro.

You also have fixture offsets.

All, thanx but I'll try to explain better..  Once I home the machine (g28), I would like to be able push a button and have the machine move to a specified coordinate.  This way once I set up a jig, the machine will move to these axis coordinates everytime.  Where in MACH 3 would I go to do this and how would I set those parameters. Once again, thanx in advance.

OK, these will be your work coordinates then. G54, G55, G56, etc. I think you have 256 of them. Look in the default mill screen, offsets page.
