Title: Mach3 resets after running Wizard
Post by: c+c on June 05, 2009, 05:40:13 AM
Each time I run a Wizard and generate GCode, Mach3 goes into reset.
Is that normal? Why is this?
Can I avoid that?

It happens with some wizards and not with others. I have never actually looked to see if I can work out why it does so dont really know i it can be avoided.

I am a  newbie to Mach3 software. I have been able to set it up correctly to run accurately according to the chosen units of inches. That is,the linear moves of say 1 inch on any of the axis corresponds with the DROs. But every time I run a wizard(it does not matter which one), it changes the limits although my chosen limits in the setup remains intact.    Also, when I press the "GOTOZERO" buttom, all the axis moves in the positive direction towards the maximum limit instead of heading to zero.  I do zero in the setup as a home.
Can anybody give me a hand?

I think you may be having problems with machine coordinates as opposed to work offsets. Are you looking at machine coordinates in your DROs?
The Go To Zero takes the machine to work offset zero which will more than likely be different from Machine zero.
