Is the "Use init string on ALL reset" supposed to be checked? The init string is G80.
If not checked the G80 in mode line changes to G1 when resetting interpreter, when checked the G1 changes back to G80 when resetting E-stop.

If you have something in the initialisation string then yes it is likely that you will need that checked.
