Title: THC300 jumps up down
Post by: mrpeja on April 19, 2009, 11:52:08 AM
Hi,
I just started cutting a straight line for testing. I see torch goes all the time up and down for small amount and Up and Down leds goes on and of 2 to 3 times per second. The cut is not ideal. Material is 4 mm steel, and 60 amps
What to adjust in this case?

Hi Dave,
Now is better, but I'm not satisfied yet.
I set Z axis speed  and acceleration slower, testing a couple of times.
Also I changed resistor value in input divider circuit from 330 Ohm to 680 Ohm
I plan to reduce THC300 electronics reaction time, first to adding capacitor to input from sensor board, and if not satisfactory, to implement integrator circuit (I think).
