Title: step motor runs rough in one direction only

Installed new step driver on old motor and tryed tune and calibrateing.  when I run motor one direction motor runs smooth, but when run in other direction motor runs rough and looses steps.
changed wires  for direction still runs rough in one direction only.
changed motor but still does it.
changed driver motor work good in both direction

I assume this is a driver problem or am I missing something?
I need advise.

You did good diagnostic testing. You have a bad driver.
