Hello there,
I am quite new to all this cnc , mach3 lazycam stuff, but slowly I am getting there.
For testing my homebuild cnc router I made in rhinoceros 15 vertical lines and 15 horizontal lines. Exported to dxf and opened it in lazycam.
lazycam show these lines perfectly.
When I post them in Gcode and open it in Mach3 only the horizontal lines are displayed. When I move some vertical "chains" more up and then post, these vertical lines show up, but not all of them and than I am missing some horizontal lines again :-/
The same when I make a lot of objects like cirkels, squares , lines etc not all of them are posted in gcode, but are shown in lazycam as seperate chains.
Here some pictures:
The lines in Rhinoceros:

Saved as dxf file
opened in lazycam (mill):

All lookes fine, pressed the "post gcode"button"
Only 9 lines are displayed ???
here the g-code:

Hi, Cor
Post your dxf, Is you LazyCam a licensed Pro version, There's a 50 line limit with offsets and such.
Chip

Hello Chip,
attached the dxf file, maybe you can take a look at it.
The 50 lines would allready be the answer I think, I thought it was 500 lines.
Best regards,
Cor

Hi, Cor
It works hear with a lic.version or without.
Chip

hey,
I am a step further right now :-).... but not far enough :-/
I have loaded your tap file in mach3 and it showed all lines. I have opened both my tap file and your tap file (in notepad), and mine stops at line 250 (probably drawing line #9) and yours continue to line 635 to do the other lines.
So , I now know it is not mach3 whioch is playing up, but something in lazycam.
What I did is:
loaded this dxf file and pressed the "post code" button, that's all. Maybe lazycam needs some more finetuning? , but where?, not many option to change? ???
I upload my tap file as well, so you can see the difference.
Where can I start looking in lazycam where the "error" is?
I really do appriciate your help.
regards,
cor

Chip, i missed one of our sentences in one of your post :-/
I do have a unregistered version of lazycam, is that the reason why it just post the 50 lines (which is only 9 lines drawed)?
thanks for the help .

Hi, Cor
It posts hear with my license removed just fine, What ver are you using, It's under help, about, I've tried ver, 3.00.2 & 3.00.
Post your LazyCam.xml, It's in C:\Mach3\ folder, Make a copy of it and Rename it, CorLazyCam.xml
Some pic's of setup pages.

hey chip,
No joy here:
I have checked both versions as well, for now i have version 3.0.0.2
(http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn236/corvl/10.jpg)
Here the screenshots of the setup and attached the xml file......... what's wrong ??? :( >:(
(http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn236/corvl/11.jpg)
It still only posts 50 lines which is 9 lines of the drawing.
thanks,

Hi, Cor
I finally figured out the problem your having, I think, Your running LazyCam from it's own Sub. Dir./Folder.
You need to copy LazyCam.exe and probably All it's associated files into your C:\Mach3 folder for it to work properly.
There's a note on this some where in the past post's.

Hi chip,
I uninstalled the complete mach3 and lazycam, and made sure all was installed in c:/mach3 uncluding lazycam. Unfortunately it stilll does the same.
I set the increments at "1" to see how many lines it spits out and it is 50 with code and than 21 with g42 ("start cutting radius compensations" ?????)
Still no clue why it doesn't wanna post all my horizontal and vertical lines :-(
Below the code from my last try
cheers,
a sad Cor

Hi, Cor
Well I removed my Mach3 Lic. also now and get the same results that you get.
Guess you will need the Mach3 Lic. at least.
Edit: I think this is mostly correct below.
Mach3, "Demo Mode" & LazyCam, "Demo Mode", LazyCam, Will only post 50 lines of G-code.
Mach3, "Licensed Version", LazyCam, Will post 500 lines of G-code, But will not post Offset's, Pocketing and Such.....
Mach3, "Licensed Version", LazyCam, "Licensed Version", Will post Offset's, Pocketing and Such.....

Hey Chip,
Thanks for the info and help, this would explain all :-)
These lines are just to check my cnc router wat the accuracy is, if all is ok , i will get those licences.
Again, thanks for helping me out,
Cor
