Post by: kdoney on February 25, 2009, 10:07:07 AM
OK. I've gotten the enable/disable jog to work and the estop to work on the mpg on lpt2 of ss. I still can't actually get it to jog. Any suggestions.

As said on Yahoo, where are you powering the MPG from?

Ok can you give some info, you have a smoothstepper so you dont really have LPT2 as that is a printer port and you dont use that anymore. So you have the USB cable that goes to the smoothstepper then do you have breakout boards connected to Port1 and Port2 on the smoothstepper?

Yes, I have the SS "Port1" connected to a V1.8 SoundLogic breakout board.

Found it.
NO POWER IS BEING SUPPLIED TO THE MPG (AS YOU THOUGHT). I thought that it would be supplied by the 5V ttl from the SS board.

Thank you.
