Please explain to me why is needed computer with non-integrated video card.
Most of today's computers has integrated video card.

WindowsXP has a driver in it to run a video camera through a usb port. Mach 3 puts crosshairs and other bits onto the image produced before it is displayed, so that you can use it with Mach.
I assume an integrated video card image will not be alterable with Mach3.
My video camera did not work with my laptop, that I was using for Mach.
Since I changed it for a desk top computer, it works first time. The driver for the video is part of windows.

The integrated video card problem is because often with them they can play havoc with the pulse engine in Mach, some do some dont. One way to be sure is not to use the pulse engine and use an external device such as the SmoothStepper, then integrated graphics is not an issue :)

Thats interesting Jim, I have been having problems using a USB camera for a few weeks now.
I installed a USB2 PCI card, installed SP2 and still it did not work in Mach3, worked OK in windows so I gave up.
(The machine ran fine though, it was just the camera with the M3 video window).
I suppose now, it'll be worth installing a grapics card to see if that helps.

I used Mach2/3 on an IBM PC/XP with integrated graphics for about a year and half without major problems. I did, however, get occasional (perhaps every 10-15 hours of operation) Limit Switch stops for no apparent reason. Changing the debounce setting up to 2500 didn't seem to make any difference. I thought that this wiring related, and didn't do much about it because for the hobby stuff I do, it wasn't that much of a problem.
I came across an old Cirrus Logic video card in my pile of PC related junk, and decided to install it (XP makes it pretty easy to disable the integrated graphics and run the video off the card). I've been running this for about 4 months without any Limit Switch stops with the debounce set at 500...
I wish I could be a little more quantitative about this whole thing, but I'm thinking that the limit switch stops were caused by the well known integrated graphics problems, and disabling the integrated graphics and installing the video card solved the problem...

Hi SF,
I also have been using a PC with intergrated graphics,while machining my Bridgeport has not missed a beat, it's just the Mach video window I can't get to work with the camera.
I have just tried the camera + my normal web cam on my home pc with Mach installed.
Both work cams ok in the "XP" window but fail to start in Mach.
I just don't get it :( ???
