There is a list of all the OEM codes for DROs, Buttons etc in the wiki, you will find it here http://www.machsupport.com/MachCustomizeWiki/index.php?title=Main_Page
This is for Mach3 though so whether it will be the same for Mach2 I dont know.

Is there a OEM button/led # for "Turn off Spindle" in General Config under Pgm End, M30 or rewind?  I'd like to place a button on screen for this.

Thanks for the quick fix for that too Art!

They are the same as the ones in Mach2 on the Wiki that should do it for you :)

Thanks Brian,

I have those already, but I don't see an OEM Button/Led # to toggle the checkmark for "turn off spindle" in the "Program End, M30, or Rewind" group.

Much like the OEM Button # of 347 isn't listed for CV Distance.  343-347 are listed as "reserved".

I guess I could just place a button on screen and start cycling through the numbers to see which one will check/uncheck that option.

I don't know the exact syntax, but use something like:
code "M5" for the button script

Sorry guys, but that's not it either.  That's OemButton 110 which is already on the screen.  Maybe I need to rephrase my question and explain what I want to do better.

In the "General Config" dialog, in the section for "Program End, M30, or Rewind" there is a check box for "Turn Off Spindle" which will disable turning off the spindle at a program end, M30, or rewind.  I want to have a button and led to toggle that checkmark in the same manner that the CV distance button and led on the settings page toggles the checkmark for CV distance tolerance in the general config dialog.  I don't want to turn the router off, I want to keep it on.

The reason for this is that I'm making a wizard for a certain thing that I do a lot of.  While doing this, I want the spindle (in my case a router) to keep running while I swap out a blank and cycle start after a rewind instead of it turning off and on, off and on,.....

I'm just being lazy, and don't want to open the general config dialog each time I need to change this setting.  I would also like to be able to "Set" it in a macro or wizard.

I hope this explains what I want to do a bit better.

Thanks

There is not a call for that... Is there an OEM code that you like for one of the other axis?

Thanks
Brian

Hi, Brian

Yes, for encoder 4, there is an encoder 4 DRO, just couldn't find the Zero button OEMCODE for it.

If it's a big hassle, It seems to reset by clicking and using keyboard or pop up calculator window.

Thanks, Chip

I see :) If you can tell the OEM button number that will do what you would like but on an other axis that will make it soI can code it in. So lets say it is the x axis and you would like to zero it out, what OEM code are you using?

Thanks
Brian

Hi, Brian

Just using Encoder 4 input for a 2nd Z axis, Spindle on a Bridgeport for manual  position Reference see below.

The 3 encoders on Settings page, X Y Z are used, in Ports-pins Encoder/MPG's X Y Z (4) are available.

Just no Zero Button for 4'th.

Zero X Encoder 1   133
Zero Y Encoder 2   134
Zero Z Encoder 3   135
Zero A Encoder 4   ??? OEMCODE, it's not listed in Wiki

Thanks, Chip

Hi, Rogerbsstt

Disregard my earlier Post on this, Hears a better way, I Think.

Hear is a screen .set I modified just a little, You need to set under, config, ports & pins, Encoder/MPG's, Encoder 4 to your A,B output to this.

Enable Encoder 4 Set A-port to 1, B-port to 1, then use 2 unused pin's on port 1 for your A, B, encoder input pin's,

Pin's 10-13,15 are the only one's you can use, Set the Count Unit's to 1000 - 4000, probably, 4000 to calibrate for .001 div., Click on Apply then OK.

Just make sure there outputs are no more than 5 Volt's.

Under Operator, Click on Auto/Calculator this will give you a Pop-Up window to Zero it, it works on other items also really nice.

To Zero the Quill Z click on DRO, Use,  Calc. Window to edit, You can pre-set to most any value.

Or use keyboard  to edit, Don't forget to hit enter Key.

Don't think I left anything out.

Oo, copy the set file to your Mach3 Folder, load-it give it a try.

Helps, I Hope, Chip.
