Title: Jog speed slower than feedrate?
Post by: yukonho on July 21, 2006, 11:20:10 AM
Hi.
I just hooked up my gecko's and started using Mach3 (from xylotex and mach2)
I can feed the axes to about 100 ipm, but my rapid moves and jog speeds are down in the 30's. What am I missing here?

press the tab key and a screen will pop out, on this screen you should see a DRO for slow jog rate, set this to 100%

I get a really bad resonance at speeds above 55 ipm now. I will be going to coarser leadscrews in the fairly near future, but would like to be running faster than 55 ipm for the time being. Any thoughts on this?
Cheers,
Colin
