Title: Motion Controller Info Needed
Post by: bakeng on January 29, 2009, 12:03:42 AM
I have been looking at Mach3 and would like to use it on a Hardinge CHNC 1 Lathe I have. I dont like the idea of sending data through the parallel port. Is there anyone out there that makes a USB or better yet a PCI motion card that works with Mach3? Thanks.

Take a look in the PlugIn Download section.  There, you will find all other controllers that operate with Mach at this time.

Hi Sai,

If you are using stepper motors there are a lot of cheap driver boards available from China.
Here is a link to just one supplier:-

Hi Bakeng,

Smooth Stepper is a first class USB to parallel port controller for Mach - although you will still need a stepper driver board as well.
