i don't have actually e-stop .

I will be very happy if somebody can help me !

Hi, Sh.y

Set the Pin # to "0" should fix it, Don't forget the "Apply".

Hi, Sh.y

Your saying that if you click on Reset it still flashes Red, What version are you using.

E-Stop will all-ways be Green (Checked) in Ports & Pins, With 0 in pin # you should be able to Reset, Try checking the Emulated box and Port # to 0 also.

Hi, Sh.y

Post your Mach3Mill.xml file, It's should be located in C:\Mach3 folder, Make a copy of it and rename to ShyMach3Mill.xml.

Give us a little more info on your setup, Re-check your Ports & pin settings, Motor Outputs.

You have attached the wrong file, what you have there is the exe, you need to look for a file like circled in the pic.

From first look you seem to have it set up correctly. Have you checked to make sure the port address you have is correct, if you are using the onboard port then it is likely to be right but if you have a PCI port then it will be wrong. You can find the port address in device manager and then the resouces tab for the port.

First thing to try is increase the pulse width to 5, its on motor tuning page.

If that doesnt work do you have any means of checking the signals coming out the port? A scope would be best but a digital voltmeter (or for that matter an analogue one) will do. What you need to do is remove the cable from the computer and put your meter between your Dir pin and a ground pin and then jog the axis, when you change direction you should see the voltage change between 5v and 0v. repeat that on all dir pins jogging the corresponding axis. You can then do the same for the Step pins but you will probably need the meter on a lower voltage scale, the voltage seen is unimportant, just as long as you see some voltage when you jog and zero when you stop.
If that all checks out ok then put the cable back in and test at the other end of the cable.

Do you have a link to the CNC Kit you bought? Just wondering if you need to change the active state of your enables?

Do you have any of the wiring info on pdf? Would be good to see a manual to try and understand what connections it needs.

Also have you run the drivertest.exe to see that you have a pulse.

Hi, Sh.y

Are you seeing a Pulse Frequency & Time in Int. values on the Diagnostic Screen. ?

Have you tried setting the LowActives "Step & Dir." States to "Checked" also. ?

On some control's you may need to select the Sherline 1/2  Pulse Mode, then Apply and Restart Mach3.

i had a similar problem once. i dont know if the kit you bought has a charge pump security, but if it has one it might be just the active high/low that needs to be change. when you hit reset you motor are active, and when you remove reset they stop.

Thanks for everybody it's wonderful we can help each other around the world !

Chip, i tried to  select the Sherline 1/2  Pulse Mode - not help , i tried setting the LowActives "Step & Dir." States to "Checked"- not help and i see the Pulse Frequency & Time in Int. values on the Diagnostic Screen.
i attached the files help i got from the supplier (thanks for the photos you send , you know one photo alike 1000 words )

Hood,  you said to run the driver test, i run it before and everything was like the video toturial (32-36 Time between pulses Us), but now i checked  it when the Mach3 was opened  and he gave me 18-64 pulses sometimes .  second when the test  opened and "system test in 3..2..1.."
i got a message in the target windows "pulssing too fast"  .

mabye this is the problem !   what are you advice me to do ?

No you need Mach closed or the drivertest will not run, so that is normal.
Will have a look at your files later.

Had a look through the info, its not that great but looks like you have everything set up the way it is shown in the documents so unless your parallel port cable is not correct then I dont know what to suggest. Did you try setting the Enables to active Low?

Which country are you in? Geckos are definitely my choice for steper drives, PMDX122 for breakout and really anywhere for steppers as they are all much the same. Building your own power supply is easy enough as well, so thats probably the best way to proceed.
