Title: Rectangle do a oval?
Post by: TDAY on December 31, 2008, 12:01:23 PM
Can Rectangle Wizard be made to do a outside Oval shape?Like the pic.
I tried and got a very odd round shape.
Thanks,
Troy

I dont think it works very well. I just tried a few examples and when the corner radius gets to big to fit within the rectangle strange things happen. Im not sure if this is a feature of the new cutter comp or it always worked like this. Im testing more now.

Troy,
would it be practical to do a rectangle than a circle over it? or a circle than a rectangle to square the sides?

Nice idea, but would be time consuming to run part.I would rather do the Gcoding with Cutter Comp.
I thought the Rectangle wizard could do it,as i have ran other CNCs that had a similar "wizard" that would do oval shapes also.
Thanks,
Troy
